Mission Statement:
- To reduce the carbon foot print of a holiday cottage
- By reducing energy consumption using low energy light bulbs
- By providing 80% of energy from a renewable energy company
- By farming organically and supporting flora and fauna for over a decade
- By using only storm waste wood
- Installation of efficient wood burner in holiday cottage
- By recording energy and water consumption
- By installing under 3 litres flush toilets and shower heads fitted with aerating heads to reduce water consumption
- By using recycled paper products where applicable
- By using low phosphate laundry products in the cottage and within the farm house to launder
- Use micro fibre cloths in the cleaning process to reduce water consumption
- Recycling glass, paper, plastic and metals, clothes or used linens, batteries and ink cartridges and food waste
- By understanding all developments in re-usable energy and their application within the holiday cottage
- To source products from local producers and to use local businesses and fair trade products, i.e. tea/coffee/sugar
- Using email and on-line booking, PCI DSS Compliant, reducing paper and ink consumption
- To advise all guests to recycle
- Adhere to legislation
- Reduce pollution
- To strive for continual improvement
